Yoga Certification

YCB (yoga certification board) is the board that is accredited by the Government of India, to be recognized by people for the practice of yoga. To apply for this one has to go through a 2 step process as mentioned below. First you will have to submit your application form along with the requirement documents like your qualification, experience, age and last but not the least your TEFL or CELTA certificate. The next step involves the sanctioning of your certificate by the concerned authority. This process is basically meant to ensure that those who wish to pursue yoga training and are unable due to any reason to do so, are given the opportunity to do so through this system.

There are different institutes that are associated with this system and offer various certifications for yoga training as well as yoga certification board. To get an authorized certification for yoga one will have to undergo a rigid process that includes a written evaluation, a written test, a clinical assessment and a final exam. All these aspects make it very difficult for someone to get certified yoga instructor in spite of his/her sincere efforts.

These include Sanyo-ED School of Yoga, Ashoka Yoga Institute, Insight Health, Energy Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga and many others. All these Yoga Certification Board has different standards as well as different rules for gaining certification. Some of the important points to remember when you are preparing for this certification are as follows:

Research work: Before you start your journey to achieve the certification; it is important for you to gather all the information related to the subject. This includes the background information, experiences, teachers qualifications, understanding the philosophy behind the method and so on. The more information you have, the better it will be for you to get the certification.

Train hard: Make sure you put in a lot of hard work and practice to gain the certification. Make sure that you get the most effective training possible. Practice on a daily basis: You should do a lot of practice and take class as directed. It is advised to practice daily on at least three times a week. This will help you a lot in getting trained successfully and also prepare you for the final exam.

Completion of the course: After you have successfully completed the training and class; it is advised that you should register for the final certification exam. You should also contact the yoga instructors who have been doing the yoga for a long time and ask them to help you in clearing the exam. Do not try to clear the exam on your own. Try to contact the instructor who has helped you in achieving the certification. This will help you keep the motivation intact and you will be able to clear the test easily.
